Elopements hold a very special place in my heart.

Everyone surrounds themselves with close circles, and sizes obviously vary. That plays a part in the big day, but more than that, I believe there’s a unique spirit in those who are drawn to these intimate ceremonies.

Wild. Adventurous. In love.

Plus who can resist a sweet puppy in attendance?

I do think my favorite part is the location that’s chosen. Christmas Meadows is no exception.

The long trek through the High Unitas to the stunning vista was filled with excitement and anticipation. Maddison + Kindle selected the spot with careful consideration and is a place they’d shared memories. Camping trips and adventures with nights beneath the stars in this exact spot.

Autumn overtaking the mountain sides only added to the enchantment of the moment. Nestled into the side of the riverbank, the small group gathered. Not another person for miles around. Words exchanged, rings traded, vows sealed with a kiss.

Later we arrived to another ceremony. Joined by all the friends and family of the happy couple, Maddison and Kindle layered the sands from their lives, joining them together. And then the celebrations began! Everyone danced into the night, and it was a perfect ending to the blissful day.
